Volunteer Opportunities

The Bible urges us to share generously of whatever talents, abilities and wealth God has entrusted to us. We are always looking for cheerful givers of their time and energy to support Phantom Ranch Bible Camp. Whether you are looking to volunteer as an individual or part of a group, we have a place for you here to be part of our team for the day.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

– Romans 12:6-8

How you can help

We are on 111 acres of land with endless possibilities of projects that we could use your help with. If you have a unique talent that isn’t listed below, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to see how we can best use your skills to better the camp and serve His kingdom.

Typically a youth group schedules to help serve food and wash dishes on the weekends. The volunteer groups get to eat the meals they serve. Local individuals are always welcome to volunteer as well. Schedule a day or weekend for your next service project.

This fall and spring service project is one of the most common and exciting volunteer project your group will do. Groups spend the morning raking leaves and play paintball or rock climb in the afternoon at a discount rate.

We have many areas around camp that are in need of a green thumb. No matter what time of year it is, there is always something to do on our 111 acres.

Spring – Splitting hostas, donating and planting annuals, raking leaves

Summer – Grass cutting, weeding and maintaining the horsemanship garden

Fall – Raking leaves, trail trimming

Phantom Ranch hosts special events for the community to have a wonderful camp experience. Volunteer for an event below to help our special guests make memories that last a lifetime.

  • VIP Day – Celebrating kids with special needs with their families to experience camp, in partnership with Nathaniel’s Hope
  • Day at Camp – This gives first time campers and life-long veterans to have a great time enjoying the activities at camp.

Our herd of 14 horses could use 4H and adults to help serve at the barn. Our staff will train and work along side you to help feed horses, stuff hay nets, muck stalls, and clean the barn. Volunteer opportunities are available August through May.

There are many different ways to serve at Phantom Ranch. We have something for everyone. We love people who are willing to dedicate their time and energy to us on one-time or a recurring schedule. If there is some way you want to serve that isn’t on this list, then let us know and we’ll find a way for you to share the talents God has given you to better our camp.
