Triple W Middle School

Designed for older middle school girls who have a desire for horsemanship training; this session has a high focus on horsemanship skills at the barn.

Triple W Horsemanship | Middle School

Hands-On Riding Experience

Triple W gives campers plenty of time in the barn and on horseback. At the start of the week, girls complete a riding assessment and receive their own horse. From that moment, wranglers actively coach them in grooming, tacking, and forming a partnership with their horse. Campers practice riding every day, building confidence as they tackle new skills, overcome obstacles, and handle horses in different settings. By the end of the week, they proudly demonstrate their progress with an obstacle course showcase for parents.

Unique Camp Setting

Unlike other Phantom Ranch sessions, Triple W runs separately, allowing campers to enjoy distinctive activities, crafts, and chapels. For instance, they might gather around a campfire in The Garden. At other times, they ride together at sunset. Still other times, they worship indoors with acoustic music that creates a reflective atmosphere. Each moment feels personal and memorable.

Faith-Centered Teaching

In every setting, staff teach lessons that connect directly with middle school campers. They design chapels and devotionals to inspire growth and encourage campers to follow Jesus for life. Step by step, these experiences help campers strengthen both their faith and their friendships.

Positive Camp Culture

Phantom Ranch staff actively create a fun and respectful environment. They encourage campers to laugh, play, and learn together. At the same time, they model kindness and guide healthy coed interactions so campers feel included and valued.

Safe and Supportive Staff

Behind the scenes, staff complete rigorous screening and hands-on training. They study child protection policies, emergency response plans, and strategies to meet a wide range of camper needs—including homesickness. Because of this preparation, every camper enjoys a safe, caring, and Christ-centered camp experience.
