3rd–5th Grade Elementary Boys Camp
We call our elementary boys session ROUGHRIDERS — a week where elementary boys can have fun learning how to make new friends and how to get along with each other. They’ll get to experience horseback riding, archery, indoor rocking climbing and playing alongside their cabin mates and Cabin Leaders at our waterfront and many Phantom Ranch-only games and activities! Roughriders will make memories and friendships they will cherish forever.
The schedule for the week includes both structured and unstructured play. Each cabin is scheduled for specific activities throughout the week and each camper also has opportunities to choose the activities they want to do or camp areas they want to enjoy. Phantom Ranch staff are always present to support campers in their play and interactions with other campers.
The Roughriders session coincides with our elementary girls session. Both session’s schedules overlap at times and also have times where the boys will enjoy camp areas without the girls. Together, they create a balanced and meaningful camp experience for each other. Our staff desire for every camper to feel safe, be supported, and to be connected to each other, the staff, and to God resulting in a sense of true belonging. Phantom Ranch staff actively teach campers how to have fun together and how to treat each other with respect and civility, paying close attention to coed interactions.
