Summer Staff applicants need to be at least 17 years old. No experience required! We will provide you with comprehensive training you’ll use at Phantom Ranch and for the rest of your life. We offer paid positions, flexible schedules, weekends off and a healthy community! Our summer staff work an approximate 40-hour week, starting Sunday afternoon and ending with a staff dinner on Friday. Housing, food, WIFI and fun are a part of our salaried package. You’ll get to enjoy all the parts of camp our campers enjoy! Being a part of the ministry of Phantom Ranch is more than working FOR God—you’ll be working WITH God and experiencing Him in new and deeper ways.

Summer Operations Staff
Our Operations Staff options are lifeguards (free certification training provided), ski boat driver, maintenance, kitchen cooks, dining hall prep/reset, housekeeping + camp store, office and other support roles. Job assignments are based upon Phantom Ranch’s need, the applicants’ skills and training outcomes, we also listen to our applicant’s preferences. Summer Staff may be involved in several different roles during their time of service.
Summer Program Staff
Summer Program Staff positions include Cabin Leaders, Session Managers, Photography, Social Media, Videography, and in our Activity Areas. There are 2 Cabin Leaders per cabin of 8-10 campers. Session Managers work alongside our Program Director in prepping and delivering a fun and memorable camp experience and supporting Cabin Leaders. Our Activity Areas include archery, tomahawk throwing, paintball, indoor rock climbing, and lots of classic camp fun. Most of our Program positions are only available during July. Summer Staff will switch between Program and Operations throughout the summer.
Summer Staff Area Leads
We hire qualified staff to be Area Leads in the Dining Hall, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Camp Store, Programming, Horsemanship, Video/Photography, and at the Waterfront. We provide unique and comprehensive leadership training you’ll be able to draw from for the rest of your life. We also provide support from our approachable Year-Round Staff. Minimal experience required. Phantom Ranch typically hires Area Leads aged 20 and up.
