Departure is between 1:30 and 2:30pm
Pick up is on FRIDAYS between 1:30 and 2:30pm. Please call the Office at 262-363-6940 if you need to pick up before or after this time range. We will gladly accommodate an earlier or later pick-up time.
Pick-up takes place outside the Dining Hall, just past the main parking lot. Your child’s luggage will be grouped up by cabin name outside the Oaks Chapel.
At the Dining Hall, you will sign out your child, collect their medication, canteen refunds, and crafts. You will also be able to enjoy a free slice of award-winning apple pie from the Elegant Farmer and make a donation with leftover canteen funds or any other form of payment. There is no rush to leave during pick-up. You are welcome to visit the canteen, catch up with Phantom Ranch staff and other parents, and see the cabin your child stayed in.
We will notify your child of your arrival, and their cabin counselors will release them into your care. Don’t forget to say a final goodbye to your child’s counselors!
Our staff start cleaning and resetting camp for the next week on Friday morning into the afternoon. We have an all-staff End of Week meeting around 4:30 and it is helpful for families to be headed home before then.
Horsemanship Departure Information
Horsemanship programs end on Friday at 1:30pm and the parent riding demonstration starts at 1:30. Upon arrival, horsemanship parents can proceed directly to the horse area parking lot at the first turn when entering the camp. Campers will be ready to demonstrate skills learned throughout the week through obstacle patterns. Parents will then check-out the camper and pick-up luggage, receive canteen refunds and get leftover medication at the checkout station in the garden.
